Teen Driver Ed In-Person Course ONLY
Students must be at least 14.5 by the first day of class and attend every class to complete the program -- no missed days allowed. An eye exam appointment will be held sometime between these dates. The student and parent must come to the eye appointment together for paperwork.

Teen 6 Hours Behind-the-Wheel ONLY
Six hours of lessons meet the state requirement; however, most students benefit from additional lessons to gain more confidence behind the wheel and improve skills such as highway driving, parallel parking, and defensive driving. Each behind-the-wheel driving lesson is four hours, with two hours of behind-the-wheel and two hours of observation.

Road Tests
Zero To 60 Driving Academy is proud to partner with the North Carolina DMV to offer official road skills testing for students ages 16-17. Applicants 18 and older must complete their road test directly at the NC DMV.
Eligibility Requirements
To schedule a road test with us, students must meet all of the following:
- Be at least 16 and under 18 years of age
- Hold a valid NC Learner's Permit
- Have held the permit for a minimum of 9 months
- Have completed the required 60-hour driving practice log
- Have a parent/guardian present at the time of testing to provide consent
Vehicle Requirements
- All testing vehicles must pass a safety inspection before the exam
- The examiner may refuse to ride in any vehicle deemed unsafe
